Anti Dumping – E-Bikes from China April 12, 2018

Next week is an important date with regards to dumping on e-bikes imported from China as the deadline looms for the EU Commission to decide on registration of imports.

Registration on E-Bike imports from China if passed will allow for retroactive collection of any anti-dumping duties. The Collective of European Importers of Electric Bicycles has sent a paper to the EUC objecting to this. There has within the industry been rumours of a stockpiling of Chinese e-bikes in recent months and those who fall into this category could potentially be levied with a substantial duty.

At Pennine Sports we’ve been watching this progress for some time, and have already secured high quality E-Bike production outside of China in anticipation of what seems like an inevitable and imminent anti-dumping duty.
